Á committee oí young ladies trom the AVomen's League cousisting of Miases Wagner, Noble, Richards, Hicks, Mogfor dand Thompson are circulatmg aroong the business men a subscription paper. It States that two Regents oí the Universitv have pledged the sum of $35,000 for a Woman's Building (gymnasium and league rooms) on condition that the women of the state raise $15,000 more to complete the necessary fund of $50,000, and they respectfully ask each person to pledge them as large an amount as oircumstances and inclination will warrant. Ft is twentj'-flve years since women were flrst admitted to the TJniversity, and this is the flrst time that money bas boen solicited for tlieir special needs. This is an object that appeals to the pride of every citizen and the personal interest of every business man in our community. Jacobs and Allmand have libaded the list with $50 cash down. Will not inany others imitate their example? Á weeping ueed - rain.
