Out of season, and as this is the scason when killing is allowable, it m.iy be of interest to sportsnien to Lnow what the law is in regard to 11, bo that they may keep out of the dutches of the gam ewarden : Section 12, Public Acte of 1891, readb as follows : "Xo person or persons shall kill, capture or destroy, or attempt to kill, capture or destroy, 8DJT ruffled grouse, sometimes called 1-artridge, or pheasant, except from the first day of November to the TÖtcenth day of December, inclusive, in oach year ; or any colín or .juail, sometimes called Virginia partridge, save only from the first day of Novemicr to the fifleenth day of December, inclusive, in each year. Provided, tliat in the upper Península, partí ídge, or ruffled grouse, may De kiftf il from the first day: of October to tho first day of January, inclusive, eoch 5-ear."
