The next entertainment in the T. M. C. A. Lyceum Course is to be a lectnre, to be deüvered by that prince oí American humorista, Robert J. Burdette. It will be held at the Presbyterian chuich, on Thursday evening Dec 19th, commencing at 8 o'clock. Everybody who keeps the run of current events knows "Bob" Burdette. His iame extends over three o.ontlnents, and his witty and pithy writicg and sayings have been translated into every language on the civüized portion of the globe. Whi'.e lie is humorous and quaint. lie if also serrous and pathetic. He carries his audience from laughter to tears and from tears back to laughter again. He has that peculiar magnetiem about liim that attracts thti mind of the listener and molds hia thoughts at will. Probably no more popu'ar lecturer - if what lie sayü may be called a lecture- is upon ihe American platform to day. and he wno missea tliis opportunity to liear hiui mlsses a great deal.
