High Bridge For Detroit

The propositiorl is made by the M. C. K. B. to erect a high bridge acroes the beautiíul Detroit rlver at Detroit. It will have three unbroken spans, the main one to reach 1,100 feet, anci the bridge to tower 123 feet above low water mark. Only two piers come within the bulkheads. This il! allow all the lake boats to pass under the bridge without trouble. It will cost four million dollars, and take six years to build it. It is thought there wlll be no objection to thi.s by the lake carrier's association. If this is done Detroit can compete wltli Port Harón. ■a
