Death Of Capt. Tyler Of Dexter
Capt. E. B. Tyler, ol Dexter village, aged 83 years, who (lied last week, was one of the early pioueers of the county, and a man -who at one time was quite influential. He -was the first agemt the American Express Co. ever had in that place, and held the position until age incapacitated him for the work, when the company, recognizing the valué lie had been to them, retired hlm wlth a pension. He served the company faithfully for over -10 years and when Dexter supplied the entire country to the north as far as Howell. He was a member of Washtenaw lodge F. & A. M., which organization attended his funeral in a body. In hls death the pioneers lose a member who was a connecting link between the past and the present.
