This proposed change would o doubt make a diploma from tbe U. of M. much more valuable than it at present- and it already stands at ttoe head- but it would also be tihe means of reductos the attendance, -which never has been too great in tfhis department. A six years' eourse -hiere, with a three or four years' course at other colleges, would militate against this school, as to num'bers, at least.
