A Stranger Instantiy Killed - Central last night struck and instantiy killed a man who was walking on the track by the switch cast ;f the depot. The enginecr saw him just before he was struek, and the train was backed down to piek him up. AYhen they reached the depot, tlie body was searched, and some cards wera found ou it showing that the man's name was John Lynch. They were eredentials from bricklayers' unious in Galveston, Tex., and St. Louis, Mo. Some people at Ihe depot thought they could identlfy Lynch as one of the masons employed in coustrueting the women's gymnasium, bnt the foivnian of that job falled to identlfy him. Today several people who have seen him stated that they belfeved they had seen him here, but Ooroner Ball has not found anyone who eau positively identify him and thinks it quite pos sible that he had not been in town at all, but had got off the frcight train that just carne in and was walking along the track to the depot, expectins? to board the freight train again -svhen it came along. The conductor and engineer of the freight train hadn't seen him. however. One of the papers in his pocket was a membership card in the Galveston union. and another was a ticket from the St. Louis bricklayers' union, permitting him to work there. Prom its date. it shows that he was in St. Louis as late as .Tune ( at least. Coroner Ball has telegraphed to Galveston, but up to the time of the inquest no answer had been received. No new facts were brought out at the inquest. From the appearance of the body the dead man was about 35 years old. In the dark last night he was at first thought to be a eolored man, but this was later seen to be wrong. Two K. of P. Lodges - On Tliursday evening of last week, there occured at the A. M.
