The free coinage of filrer wquld not put to work an idle man. or increase the wages of one now employed. Slajor MeKinley's plan woald extend to every honest American workman. honest employment and pay him in honest dollars. The demand now is for opened milis and not for opened mints; for the workman in all industrial lines want the rages of the mine. The mints cannot nor a pound of cotton worth 10 cents. Mills which employ labor at remunerative wage and pay in sound dollars créate prosperons conditions, and they incroase the demand for bread and clothing and that demand will raise the price of wheat and cotton more quickly and more surely than all the free coinage
