STATE OF MICHIGAN, I COUNTY OF WaSHTKNAW. (. ' The Circuit Court for the County of Washtenaw in Uhancery. Iu the matter of the petitiou oí Stanley W. Turner, Auditor General of the Stute of Michigan, for and in behalf of siüd staie of Michigan, for the sale oí cei'tatu lands lor taxes assessed thereou. Ou readiug aud filing the petitiou of the Auditor General of the State of Michigan as afóresaid, praying for a decree in favor of the state of Michigan, against eaeh parcel of laud therein described for the amounts therein specified, claimed to be due for taxes, interest aud charges on eacli such parcel of land, aud that sueh lauds be sold for the amouuts so claimeü bv the Slate of Michigan. It is ordered that snid petition will be brought on for hearing and decree at the October term of this Court, to be held at Anu Arbor, the County oí Wash tena w, State of Michigan, on the flitli day oí October, A. D.. 1896, at the opening of the Court on that day, and that all persons interested in sueh lauds or any part thoreof, desirina to contest the lien clainied thereou by the State of Michigan, for such taxes, interest and charges, or any nart thereof, shull appear in said Court, and file with the clerk thereof, aeting as register in chaueery, their objections thereto, on or before the first day of the term of this Court above nieutioned, 'aud that iu delault thereof the same wil! be taken as confessed and a decree will be takeu and eutered as prayed for iu said petition. And it is further ordered that in pursuauce ot said decree the lauds described in said petition for which a decree of sale shatl be made, will be sold for the several taxes, interest and charges tbereon as deterrained by such decree, on the first Moudayiu December thereafter, beginning at ten o'clock a. m. on said day. or on the day or days subsequeut thereto as may be necessary to complete the sale of said lauds and of each and everv parcel thereof, at the office of the County Treasurer, or at such convenieut place as shaü be selected by him at the eounty seat of the County of Washtenaw, State of Michigan; aud that the sale then and there made will be a public sale aud each parcel described iu the decree shall be separately exposed for sale for the total taxes, interest and charges, aud the sale shall be made to the person offering to buy for any given tax and paying the full amount charged against said parcel, aud accepting a conveyance of the smallest undivided fee simple interest thereiu; or, if no person will buy for any of said several taxes and pay the balauce thereof and take a conveyance of less than the entire thereof. then the whole parcel shall be offered and sold. If any parcel of land caunot be sold for taxes, interest and charges, such parcel shall be passed over for the time beiug, and shall, on the sueceeding day. or before the close of the sale, be reorïered, and if, on such seeond offer, or during sueh sale, the same caunot be sold for the amount afóresaid, the Couuty Treasurer shall bid off the same in the name of the State. Dansingbürg, Register. STATE OF MICHIGAN. To the Circuit Courtor the County of Washtenaw in Chancery: The petition of Stanley W. Turner, Auditor General of the State of Michigan, forand in behalf of said State of Michigan, respectfully shows that the list of lands hereinaf ter set f orth and marked "Schedule A," coatains a descriptiou of all lands m said County of Washtenaw upon ivhich taxes were asses-ed for the years meutioned tnerein, and which were returned as delinquent for non-payment of taxes, and which taxes have not heenpaid; together with the total amount of such taxes, with interest computed thereou to the time flxed for sale, and collection fee as provlded by law, and the cost of advertisiug and other expenses of sale of each of said pareéis of land. Your petitioner further shows to the Court that said lands were returned to the Auditor General under the provisions of Act 206 of the Public Acts of 1893, as delinquent for non-payraent of said taxes for said years respectively, and that said taxes remain uupaid. Your petitioner further shows and avers that the taxes. inierest, collection fee and cost of advertising and other expenses of sale, as set forth in said Schedule A, are a valid lien on the several pareéis of land described in said schedule. lour peiiuoiier iun-iier siiuws buub iua saiu taxes on said described lands have remained uupaid for more than oue year prior to the flrrit day of May. 1896; and the said taxes not having been paid, and the same being dow due and remaining unpaid as above set fortli. your petitioner prays a decree in favor of the State of Michigan against each Darcel of said lands, for the payraent of the several amounts of taxes, interest, collection fee.cost of advertising and other expenses of sale, as computed and extended in said schedute against the severa] pareéis of land contained thereiu, and in defaultof payment of the said several sums computed and extended against said lands, that each of said pareéis of land may be sold for the amounts due thereon. as provided by law, to pay the lien aforesaíd.
