Au entJiusiastic meeting of the Ann Arbor Press Club was held Jlo-nday evening at the office of the Inland Press. The attendance was large, and tbe expresskm on all sides was in favor of united action 'byt'he presB oï the city in regard to BeveraJ important matters. The iirgt business oí the meeting was the electiion o; oifeer. This was by ballo-t and restilted as follows : President- Geo. H. Pond. Secretary- Torn . AV. Ilingay. Treasurer - Jundue E. Beal. Executive Oommittee- S. A. Mo-ran, W. B. Phóllip-s, Louis J. Liesemer. The tonner treasurer reported that there was on hand ta the credit oï tJhe Club, the sum oi $35. which he was dlrected to' turn over t.o the uew treasui er - which will be an easy thtog' foï him to do, as tlhei new and the old are tho same. Considerable discussion relative to the interests af the local press was lndulged in, and a spirit oí cohesiveness shown that augurs well for the future oí "ühe club. The executive committee was empowered to formulate a constitution and by-laws tihat ehooild cover the propo-sed objects of the orgaaization and report the same at as earlyl a date as possible. The Club then adjourned upon the cali of the president.
