The board of supervisors met Monday morning aud chairman John R. Miner proceeded to business at once. More was acconiplished on that day than for any other first day within the memory of the oldest inhabitant. Upou taking his seat the chairnian announced the following cominittees: Equali:atlon- Leiand, Boyle, Damon, Hall, Alber. Crimimal Claimt, No. 1 - Walter, Bibbins, Krapl. Criminal Claims, No. 2 - Hunter, Tuomy, Forsytb. Civil Ball, Whiitaker, Feiner. To Settle with County Offlcers- Watkins, Case, Bibbins. On Salaries of County Offlccrs- Hall, Eber;u'h. Bauser. On Apportinnmcnt nf State and County Taxes - Ligbtnall, Howlett, Beach. On Public Buildings- Kitson, Tuomy, Ball. On Eejected Taxes- Davenport, Bailey, Wood Tn Examine Accounts of Superintendent of the Poor- Eberbacb, Hunter, Krapf. On Finance-Ca.se, Whittaker, Kitson. On Fractional School Districts - Howlett, Hauser, Leiand. On Drains- Voorhels, Lighthall, Davenport. On Printtng- Forsyth. Fiscber, Alber. On Contagious Diseases - Feiner, Bailey, Clark. The supervisors agreed to equalize On he old basis of $25,000,000. An order of business was adopted, which, if adhered to, will rnake the sesion about one-half the usual length. To-day will be spent in receiving the eport of the drain commissioners, tomorrow county treasurer, and visit to he county house. Friday a county uperintendent of the poor will be lected. Yesterday the board re-elected Martin . Cavanaugh as mernber of the board f School Examinéis. They also lected as a board of county canvassers udge Babbitt, Horace G. Prettyman nd Arthur Brown.
