The end of a very long and expensive .tigátion has been reached in the estáte f Lucy W. S. Morgan, after eight years n the New York courts. In 1888, soon after the death of Mrs. tforgan, the Eames family commenced a suit at Watertown, X. Y., against the estáte of Mrs. Morgan. They sought to ecover a large property at Watertown, and they have elaimed that they would recover a decree for a vast sum of money or rents, etc. Tlie exeoutors of Mrs. dorgan, namely, Franklin Parker, Otis C. Johnson and E. D. Kinne, were made jarties to that suit. The trial in the supren e couit in New York lasted some our months. The decisión in the sureme court was a complete vindication of the Morgan estáte. The Eames famïly appealed it to the court of general term. The decree of the supreme court was there fully afflrmed. The Eames family then appealed it to the court of appeals, which is the last and final court. Judge Kinne yesterday received the intelligeuce that the court of appeals liad at last afflrmed the decrees of the other courts. It has been a long and expensive litigation. The fact that Mr. and Mrs. Morgan are both dead made it extremely difficult for the executors to protect the estáte. It was, however, the wish of the heirs and legatees of Mrs. Morgan that not a dollar should be paid to cornpromise an unjust anJ dishonest claim, and now, after these many years, a full and complete victory has been awarded thein. The Eames family, insisting that they would recover a judgment in that suit, have sought to pose as creditors of the Morgan estáte, but the end has now been reached, and the executors are to be congratulated upon the valiant and successful fight which they have made.
