The Minneapolis Journal had something to say the other day with regard to whether McKinley's victory w-is an overwhelmiiu one. It cited the figures with regard to the electoral vote and the popular vote running back to 1872 and showed that only once since 1872 had the electoral vote given to McKinley been equalled by that cast forary othercandidate. Here are sorne more figures upon the same point compiled by the Cincinnati Times-Star. They seem to support the proposition that the victory for sound money was an ovenvliehning one in several respects : POPULATION.
