A Sober, Sociable Social

The third social of the Young Mens Snnday Evening Club is to be held in the parlors of the Congregational Church on Friday evening, Feb. 5, with supper to be served from 6 to 9 o'clock. The caution is given that "guests will do "well to lunch before coming." There are four coupon tickets that is needed to complete the business - and on each ticket is attached a condition, and this is one of them : "Our cake must not be cut with a knife. In all cases a saw or meat ax must be used." Here is another: "The club expects its patrons to exercise due caution. Guests dropping sandwiches upon the floor will be expected to replace the floor." This remarkable menu will cost you 25 cents - a fourth part of a dollar- and it will be among the most remarkable things on record.
