The southern convocation of the Proestant Episcopal diocese of Michigan, ïeld its session here Thursday last. The convocation includes the clergy and three lay delegates frorn eacli parish n the five counties of Jackson, Washtenaw Hillsdale, Lenawee and Livingston, and its purpose is to foster the growth of the church in its own terriory and to look after missions. The meeting was fairly well attended and of considerable interest. Rev. Jenry Tatlock, of St. Andrevv's church, tliis city is dean of the convocation and presided during the session. Holy communion was celebrated in the morning. At 1 p. m. lunch was provided for in ■larris hall by the ladies of the parish. At 3 p. ui. Rev. Joseph T. Ewing of tonesville, read a paper on the attitude which the Protestant Episcopal church should take toward other religious odies. General discussion followed. At 7 p. m. was held a missionary service at which addresses were made by Rev. W. R. Blachford, of Tecumseh, and Rev. W. G. Stonex, of Dexter.
