A natural pastoral drama, flavored with the breezy local color of Teuuessee liíe and peruieated with the soft southern atmospbere of its valleys, is "A Komance of Coon Hollow," which will be seen at the Grand Opera House one night Tuesday March 9th, with a wealth of scenery and mechauical effects, and one of the largest acting companies on the dramatic stage. Tliis pretty ideal is a mirror of soutliern life, a study of character of a people who will over interest nortliern -eople, and whose ways are those oí a distant race. To thoughtful people there is a splendid eonstruction of the characters and a humor that is natural and infectous. The realistic machauical effects used in elaborating the work add to its interest. The story ñnds its origin from a romantic glen in East Tennessee that from earliest times had heen known as Coon Hollow. Among the several otlieis are a steauiboat race on the Mississippi at night between the Robert E. Lee and Natchez, the bats lighted and unde full lieads of steam. A cotton compress at work is another effect. All of the scènes are given witli electrie and linie light effects. Two quartettes of colored boys and girls are he,ml in the qnaint songs of tlie sunny south and a genuine plantation brass band greets the niany boats. _
