Semi-centennial Celebration Of The Congregational Church

Fifty yeara ago this month the first Songregational Church of this city was Drganized. The members of the Churcb md Society propose to celébrate the 3emi-centeniiial anniversary by approDriate exercises. On Satunlay evening, March 27th, a supper will be served in the Sunday School room of the church, and brief speeches will be made be representatives of the original membership of the church and hy others. It will be necessary to limit the attendance at the supper to members of the church and society and to guests invited by the Coinniittee of Arrangements. On Sunday morning March 23d a Historical Adilress will be given in the church by the pastor. Doctor Bradehaw. In the afternoon at four o'clock, the cominunion service will be held. In the evening at 7:30 o'clock, a sermón will be preached by the foriner pastor, Rev. Dr. W. H. Ryder, of the Andover Theological Seminary. It is possible tliat Rev. Dr. II. L. tiubbel!, a fórmer pastor, now of Lake Charles, Louisiana, will be present and take soine part in the exercises, To all services on Sunday the public will be cordially invited.
