"Long," it saij, "is ii'it the kind of a man Pingree likes. Aside trom the fact that he is not in direct sympathy with the retornos and ideas advocated by the iev governor, he rendered several decisions from the Benc.li which Pinjjrëe :ias denounced disgustedly na 'pure rot.' " "That is wholly untrue," said Gov. Pingree, when asked about tbis matter vesterday.
