Don't Want The Bill

At a meeting of the coinmon council last VVednesday evening, the following resolation was passed, and respectfully referred to State Senator Andrew Campbell for digestión : "Resolved, That Hou. A. J. Sawyer, our representative in the state legislature, be requested to use liis influence to defeat the bill now pending in the legislatura iu reference to granting the city of Ann Arbor permieaion to issue bonds to the amount of $100,000 for the purpose of building u building for the art gallery ; that Mr. Sawyer be further requested to state to the legislatura that the passage of said bilí has never been asked for either by the city of Ann Arbor or the University aúthorities, and that a certifled copy of this resolution be sent to Represfiitative Sawyer."
