At first I thought it was a.noUier dtfg; then it looied like a large cat; ultimately I saw that it was a fox. The was putting in his best licks, yelping like mad, and tíhe i'ox was bot on his trail. With a final long-drawn bowl the reaclued. the piazza of bis mastor's house and from t.hat vantage irround sat down. to watch his pursuer. The fox stationed himself about six er eiglit feet away, and the two sit eying eacii other for some time. Finaïlj door ojiened and the dog slipped inside. Then tihe shed door was cautionsly opened, and by the aid of the neigfhbors the fox w-as drivon info the shed and is now a captive."
