A curious plan for catching fish is nsed on the Coluinbia river. A nunibef of wheels are set up in the rniddle of the stream, which, asthey turn round, catch up the fish and cast them into troughs by the river banks. The salruou are then tinned and sent all over theworld. As mueh as fivo tons' weight of fish a day has thus been taken. - Kansas City Star. Between Carthage and Stislingville, in Joiïersou connty, N.
