The Board of Supervisors of Washtenaw County met in regular session in the Supervisors' room in the Court House in the city of Ann Arbor, on the 4th day of January, A. I). 1897, at 9 o'clock a. m. Motion carried. Moved by Mr. Hall that Board adjourn until 1 :30 p. m. Motion carried. AFTERNOON SESSION. , Board met pursuant to adjournment. Roll called. Quorum present. Moved by Mr. Watkins that Mr. Alber be added to committee to settle with County Officers. Motion by Mr. Hall to correct Journal to read "Clerk's salary in Criminal Cases should read without fee instead of f ees. Motion carried. Chairman pro tem. Whittaker appointed and reported the following gentlemen as members of the committee to examine Bonds of County Officers : Messrs. Lighthall, Case, Kitson, Howlett, Clark and Prosecuting Attorney. On motion of Mr. Forsyth, the Chairman appointed Mr. Yoorheis on Committee on Civil Claims. Moved by Mr. Watkins that the Bond of County Treasurer be fixed at $100,000.00. Amended by Mr. Hunter that action be postponed until 10 a. m. to-morrow. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Case that the matter of secnring offices for Prosecuting Attorney be referred to Building Committee and they were ordered to report on same at 2 p. m. to-morrow. Motion carried. We also declare that order No. 2273 amount $4.25 for dinncrs for Board of Canvasserswasissued without authority and that the Clerk should refund the same, and also $3.50, order 2228, for dinners. Moved by Mr. Walters that the report be accepted and adopted. Mr. Case moved as a substitute the Miuority Report that Mr. Dansingburg be allowed $100 as Clerk of the Canvassing Board, leaving a balance due to Mr. Dansingburg of $98.61. Mr. Hunter offered the following resolution : Resolved, That hereaftev no bilis of Justice of the Peace will be allowed imless the statute in relation to the issuing of warrants by Justice of the Peace be strictly complied with. Mr. Damon offered the following resolution : Resolved, That the Clerk be instructed to draw orders and pay but seventyfive per cent, of the bilis of the Deputy Sheriff for attendance in Circuit Court and said bilis to be subject to final review and adjustment of this Board.
