From the Boston Transcript. Thy spirit greets me everywhere: Iu Bunsbine, cloud and skies, The bow, whose beauty apans the cloud, Pneu into clearness dies ; The stars that shant the hymn ofsleep Uuto the restless sea, The ripples laughmg down the ueach, V Olee Thy divimty. Thou speakest iu the salt-sea air, The rose bequeaths Thy breath, And I have met Thy holy lace Wheu face to face with death. I hear thy volee In summer's rain The wind at wioter's shrine : ' The reed that shivers by the brook Linked to this heartof mine; The sound of waters rippllng low That edge my dreaius at nightThe anthem that the silence bears In fluetuatingflight. The lightning in its nery course Keveals Thy face to me Deep In my soui's slill solltude Lol 1 but summons, Thee And Thou art there to view my shame lo hearken and forgive! I lift my eyea to Paradise, Unknown to me, where live The beautilul, in harmouy. And then my burdened prayer Is followed by such balm of peace I know that I'hou art there.
