New York, Jan. 25.- Edwin B. Smith, oí the law firm of Stanley, Clarke & Smith, has gone to Washington, wliere he hopea to induce the President to consider favorably the petition of about 500 business men in this city, who aak that James D. Fish be pardoned out oí Auburn prison.
