Essays from the second year class are due next Monday. Half of the term has expired, and al' tuition is dow due. Mr. Rhodes will meet bis classes in nis own room, on the seooad floor, after this week. Boys caught smoking on the grounds during session hours are liable to suspension. A few more hat hooks have been put up in the dressing rooms, but there is atill room for more. The examination in loca! physical geography, which was to have taken place today, was held on Wednesday. A!l are invited to attend the lyjeom to morrow evening, at halt past six. The subject for debate, 'B-solved that a woman has the nght of suffrage. Mr. William Alexander has inyited a select party from the High Sshool, to be p-esent at a dance at his home, six miles west of the city, tomorrow evening." Oue of the teachers went on a sleigh nde, Friday, and did not make an appear a-.ce at the first two recitations on Monday morning. A very unfortunate thaw took place on Saturday. A fashion item says: "Bonnete will not be worn as high this year as last" If this be true, all this talk bout "elevating the stofje" may as well be üropped. With less loay bonnets, the stage is hieh enough.
