Death Of General Geddes

Ames, la., Feb. 32.- General J. Geddox diod yesterday morning. During the late war he was Colonel of the Eighth Iowa Infimtry and was capturad at the head of his regiment whüe umler General Prentiss at Shüoh. He had been connected with the IowaAgricultural College most of the timo since the war as military instructor, but lor the last few years was agent for the sale of college lands. His remains will be taken to Vinton, Ia., for intermont.
