L. Newberger, postoffice inspector, was in the city, last Thursday afternoon and made the Deoessary arrangements for free delivery, which will go into efiFeot in this city about the flrgt of June. The city wag divided into five digtrictg witU an equal number of carriers wbo will receive $600 for the first year and $850 per year thereafter. There will be forty three letter boxea placed in prominent places in the city. At first delivery will only extenJ a short distance from the po,toffice, but will be extended as fast as the carriers becotne familiarized wilh the work. There will be three deliveries of mail per day (Sundaye excepted) the first one leaving the postoffice at 7:15, a. m, the second at 12:45 r. m. and a special delivery to business men at 0:40 r. K. On Sundays mail can be obtained at the postoffice the same as now. Colleciion of mail will be made at the folio winghours : First, G:45 a. m. ; second, 9:45 a. m. ; third, 12:1") p. m. ; fourth, 5 f. m. ; fifth, 9 i'. m. The distncts as laid out by the inspector are as follows, subject to changes by Postmaster Duffy, as he deerns it necessary : DISTRICT NUMBER ONE. Beginning at the intersection oí Main and Pontiac-st, thence east to State, north on 8:ate to Fuller, east on Fuller to Observatory st, south on Observatory to st, west on line of Huron to Fourteenth-st, south on Fourteenth to North University-ave. West on North University-ave to State-st, north on State to Liberty, wesl on Liberty to Fourth, north on Fourth to Huron, west on Huron to Main, north on Main to the place of beginning, except the east side oí Main trom Huron to Ponliac-st also except both sides of Liberty. DI-TRICT NUMBER TWO Beginniug at intersection of Main and North gt, north on Main and High st, west on High and Grove, north on Grove to Chubb-road, south on Chubb-road to H&mlm, east, on Hamlin to the river, southe&st long the meandenngs of the river to intersection ot Ingalls st, south to Fuller, west on Fuller to State, south on Sute to North, west on Nnrth to place of beginning. Also east side of Main from Huron to Norih; also that part of the fifth ward north of the river, beginning at the line of Washtenaw-ave, northerly to the first ütreet south of the fifth ward cemetery ; thence east to Pontiac-st, south on Pontiac to Jones, ea.n on Jones to Traver, north on Traver to the old Partridge homestead; thence south on Traver to Brown, south on Brown to Broadway, northeast on Broadway to Tav lor horaestead, and all south of Maiden Lana. DISTRICT NUMBER THREE. Beginning at the intersection ot' Main and iligh st, west to Scott, south on Scott to Felch, west on Felch to Main, south on Main and Jewett to West Jeffereon, east on West Jefferson to Main, north on Main to place of beginning, ezcept the west gide of Main from Huron to Jefferson.
