Peter Aldrich, of Brooklyn, visited his brother Ed, last week. Invitaüons announce the marriage of Mr. Lou. Brown, the 23rd, inst. Several of our horsemen took in L. Yost's auction at Ypsilanti, the löth. O. E. Hawking, of the Ohserver, is chasing a new devil around the office. Dr. J. S. Reager, of Ohio, spoke upoff the amendment Monday evening, the'21st. W. Robison, superintendent of the Detroit school?, was in town over Sunday. F. Henne advertises his entire stock for sale at coet as he is going out cf business. Mrs. F. Fellows bas returned from Manchester, where she has been visiting friend. A. J. Warren and wife have returned from their visit to the northern part of the state. Suckers must be on the run from the amount of fish poles seen carried toward the river. The social at the residence, of A. M. Clark the löth, netted the nice little sum of $17.00. Many of our citizens attended the funeral of L. C. Risden, at Ann Arbor, the 20th, inst. Several of our citizens took in the "Devil's Auction" at Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor last week. E. W. Wallace aud L. S. Pierce attended the funeral of Lyman Wallace, at Detroit, the 16th inst. Prot Dickie, of Albion, addressed the people of Saline on the amendment the 19th, afternoon and evening. II. T. Niohols, who left for Texas and southern California, some ten days ago, h&s been heard from at El Paso, Tex. -Mrs. H. R. Mead has gene to Ann Arbor to attend the funeral of her brother k tC, Risdon, which took place the 20th. G. J. Nissly informs us that it takes bim most of his time, night and day, to keep his orders filled for poultry and eggs. The walks last Sunday morninc looked as if the devil's auction bad etayed in town, or some other devil without the auction. Mrs. S. II. Hartwell, of Los Angeles, Cal., is visiting at her úneles, M. Reynolds, on her way to London, Eng., where she ia going to visit her daughter, Mrs. Dr. Harrison.
