Chicago, Marca 'il. - The first business meeting of the convention of the Brew maaiers' Assembly of the United States was held yesterday at Uhlich's Hall. There were delegations from the various States. The proeeodings are conducted in Germán. At the af ternoon session, af ter considerable discussion, aconstitution wasadopted. The purpose of tbe Brewmaster's Association of the United States as set forth in the documentare: Mutual acquatntanceship; furthorance of the interests of the brewiug tradf ; discussion of sciontific questions concemlng the craft; to pay particular attention to a National system of apprenticeship ; to protect the progress and the development of the brewing trade and those having interest in it, and to admit only brewmasters, superintendents and tcehniial managers of broweries. The permanent organization was effected as f olio ws : Louis Frisch, Chicago, President; William Guenther, New York, and Charles Gerst, Cincinnati.Vice-Presidents; Conrad Kobitz, Detroit, Treasurer; William Seib, Chicago, Secretar}-, and a boanl of sixteen trustees.
