Gilmore's Band

To the Editor: New York, March 18, 1887. I noticed by this morning's paper that Pat Gilmore's band is due in Ann Arbor, April 5th, 1887. If your readers want to enjoy a treat, by all means attend. Some years ago Gilmore took. bis entire band to TSurope, i. e., through England, Frange and Germany, and took thoe councries by 8torm. Should Paddy consent, get him to play his owu compositions, " Columbia," "The Turkish Patrol," and "The Lost Chord," by Sullivan, and the selection of popular melodies. You will have a rioh musical treat. The Twenty-second N. Y. S. N. G. served in the last war, and is one of onr bon-ton organizations, and Paddy leads the band. Their uew armory will surpass that of any regiment. By all means hear Gilmore, even if you have to " put up " your wateh to do so.
