Charged With An Awful Crime

ÏTHACA, N. Y., April 12.- John Matman and wife Julia were arrested at Ludlow■vüle Station, this county, yesterday, charged with arson in causing tho üre in vrhich Matthew Masaock and threo small chüdren were burned on the night oí March 28. Both prisoners were arraigned yesterday and pleaded not guilty. They were remanded to jail, in default of bail, pending their examination, which is set down lor the 14th inst The evidence against the accused is said to be strong.
