There are twsnty-three praoticing physieians ia Ann Aibor. Dr. W. B. Stnith is in Iowa, where he has large land interest. Dr. L. T. Hatch will goon leave for Dakota where he will locte. Dr. Maclean has purchaned Dr. L. T. Hatch'a fine carriage norse. The Washtenaw County Medical society meets in Ypsilanti nexi month. Dra. Harley, Volland and Fitzgerald are the female doctors of Ann Arbor. Dr. McLaughlan is now nicely located in his new office in the St. James block. Dr. Vaughan haa received four monkeys upon which he will make experiments. Dr. Hendricks will spend his vacation ru8ticating in the fngid climate of Dakota. Dr. Kraft was in Clarkson the first of the week reporting a Bohemian oat case. Dr. Jones has a fine library where he spends a few hours each day amongis books. The cucumber season having arrived the doctors are looking forward to a rush of business. Dr. Darling has a new top carriage and now takes much pride in asking his triends to take a ride. Dr. Eapp erijoys the proud distinction of having been elected foar times Mayor of Ann Arbor. Dr. Sullivan has not yet returned from Texa=, where, rumor says, he is making gome real estáte investments. Dr. Carson, house physician at the Homoeopathic hospital, will probably not accept the po8tion another year. Dr. C. Qeorge has recovered from his recent run for Mayer and the less said to him about it the better he likes il. Dr. Breakey has been greatly adding to the appearanceof his residence this spring by the liberal use of the paint brush. Dr. Kapp is anxiously looking forward to th time when he can pack up his hunting outfit and go north to hunt deer. Dr. Morton has reeently purchased a boat which he expects to launch on the placid waters of the Huron at odd times. Dr. Kraft was in Cleveland, O., last week, attending the annual meeting of the Ohio State Homecepathic Medical society. Dr. Nichols' horse ran away on Catharine street Tuesday, making a total wreek of the carriage. Fortunately no one was hurt. Dr?. Breakey and Vaughan are interested in the Old Port Mission company, organized to open a new summer resort D the northern part of the state. Invitations are out for the marriage of Dr. O. C. Jenkins and Miss Eva Payne, at the residence of the bride's parents on S'ate-st. Wednesday evemng, May 31. Dr. Chadbourne will sever his connection wnh the University hospital at the end of the present college year. He is yet undecided as to where he will lócate. The June number of the Physician and Surgeon will contain the first installment of an article on " Static Electricity," by Prof. Ranney of New York city. It will be profusely illustrated. Dr. Lupinski went to Grand Rapids today, where he will remain for sometime, looking over the fie'd in rrgard to the duties ot heskh officer, to which position he was recently appointed. Dr. Patterson, who went to Lake Linden several months ago to accept the position ot assistant surgeon of the Hecla Mining Company, writes back that he is mnoh pleased with both his position and the country. Drs. MoÏAUshlin, Wood, Obetz and Arndt were in Lansing Tuesday and Wednesday, atteuding the annual meeting of the Homceopathic physicians, of Michigan. Dr. McLauchlan read a paper on " Amenorrhcea," and Dr. Wood a paper on " Angloid Degenera! ion." Besides enjoying a lucrative practice, Dr. Darling is county physician, city physician, jail physician, health offber of Ann Arbor town, secretary of the Washtenaw county medical association, examining physician of the Bay State Insurance company, examining physician oí St. George's society, and a big man in the knights of labor order. Dr?. Vaughan, Frothingham, Iierdman, Hendricks, George and Breakey at tended the twenty-second annual meeting of the Michigan state medical society, at Lans:ng, last Thursday and Friday. Dr. Vaughan read a paper on " Nature and Treatment of Cholera Infantum." Dr. Breakey read one on " Perforating Ulcer of the Stomach." Dr. Herdman read one on " Bergeon's Method of TreatingChronic Diseases ot the Lungs by Medcated Gaseous Enemata."
