Destruction Of A Valuable Library

Davenport, Ia., June 5. - C. E. .Futman's mansión at Woodlawn, in the suburbs of this city, was destroyed by fire Frklay, together with Mr. Putnam's well-knowa aud valuable historical and scientific library, and much of the property of the late scientist, J. Dunean Putnam. The loss is $30,000; insurance, $7,500.
