Portland's Blue Laws

Portland, Me., July 19.- The city marshal, having ordered druggists not to sell soda and cigars on Sunday, all the drug?ists in the city except the proprietor of 5ne small shop closed their stores entirely pesterday, not even putting up physi:ians' precriptions. Their action is gensrally commended by citizens who do not sustain the marshal in his attempt to enTorce the "blue law." The druggists will take some further concerted action.
