Fires On Friday

The St. Lawrence sugar refinery, with a number ot other buildings, was destroyed by Ure at Montreal; loss, $500, OJa Ona man was killed and several others lnjured. A fire at Batb, Me., partly destroyed tha New England ship-yaris and burned several vessels lying at the vharve9; loss, about $115,000. At Baltimore several milis and warehouses were damaged to the extent of $250,000. At Philadelphia tbe Louis Bergdoll brewery was consumad, with a loss on stock and building of $115,000. Tha Lawrence cement works, at Eddyville, N. Y., were burned, the loss amounting to $140,000. Six houses and ffve barns wera swept away at Lake View, a Chicago suburb, with a loss of $12,000, and over a dozen buildings were consumed at Plymouth, Wis. ; loas, $25,000.
