New York, July ia- A fearful storm of wind and rain prevailed in thi9 city yester day, unrooflng many houses and blowing down trees. Along the river front and the bay the storm raged with great fury. Hundred3 of sail-boats and other small craft were out at the time, and their occupants experienced much difflculty in making a safe landing. Near Staten Island a yacht was wrecked and üve men were drowned.
