There is no doubt but the Toledo & Ann Arbor railroad will build a new passenger depot in this city, tuis fall. The jlans and specifications i'or it have already )een drawn and accepted and it is now only a question of location, and this the council can settle at their next meeting if they feel so disposed. The location they nost desire is on Second-st, between Wiliams and Jefferson-sts. All the company asks of Ann Arbor is to open Second-i-t 0 Liberty-st and to grade the same. If his is done they are ready to put up a iuilding that will cost from $7,000 to &10.000. A side track will aleo be laid 'rom the main line of the road, starting at iVilliamp, running south, oarallel with ?ourth-st,for loading and unloading freight. !t woald seem that this is a very modest proposition, in view of the vast amonnt of benefit the people derive from the road. The building proposed ia 28x70 feet and iccording to the plans, is te be an impoeng tructure. It will be the handsomest one on their line, and will be in keeping with the beauty of Ann Arbor. The adies' and gentlemen'g waiting rooms are to be large and well lighted, and the agent's room is designed te be a beauty. In the north end of the building ia to be the baggage room. It now remaing for Ann Arbor to say whether we ehall have 1 handgome new depot instead of the roten old frame building now used. Let us ïave the new depot, and then make an effort for the car shops.
