Death Of A Pioneer

Jacksosville, 111., Aug. 9.- John Jordán, one of the oldest settlers of this city, died Saturday. He was born in South Carolina ín 1794, and when eighteen years old was a momber of Daniel Boone'9 company, organized to protect tho early gettlers irom the Indians.
