Buffalo, N. Y., Aug. 16.- Alfonso King Sunday afternoon successfuUy crossed the NiƔgara gorge below the suspension bridge on a water bicycle. Several tnousand spectators were present, ineludlng Prince Devawontja and the other Siamese visitors to this country. King's apparatus isshapedlike a tncycl:. Buoyancy is obtained by two long zinc cylinders which sink low in the water, and the propelling power is a bicycle wheel with small paddies attached. The trip from shore to shore lasted four and one-half minutes.
