A Large Sum Missing

CDK3XQMXX, Sept 6.- The safe of the county treasury at Green ville, 0., was found open yesterday morning and a large amount of nioney is missing:. County Treasurer Simón and his son were arrested, the father beinff charged with embezzling $35,000, and the boy with the larceny of $40,000. Both waived exaraination and gave bail. Simon's shoe store has also been closed by the sheriff. The new county treasurer was to assume charge yesterday, and Simon claims the safe was rifled by robbers.
