Sabatoga Sprinqs, N. Y., Sept IC- The Republican State convention was held Wednesday in this city. Ex-Senator Warner Miller preeided. The following ticket was nominated: Secretaryof State, Colonel Fred D. Grant; Comptroller, Jesse S. Lamoreaux, of Saratoga; Treasurer, James H. Carmichael, ofErie; Attorney-General, James A. Dennison, of Fulton; btate Engineer and Surveyor, O. H. P. Cornell. The platform denounces the Democrats for their incapacity and ineflïciency in administration and legislation; charges the Democratie Administration with failing to ehow any piirpose to promote a practical civil service reíorm; favors adjusting National taxation 80 as to raise revenue BuiHcient for an economie and wise administration of the Government; favors protection; support for the veteran soldier; high license and local option; says the flippant, sneering language of President Cleveland's vetoes of the Pension bilis was insulting to the veterans and degrading to the Executive; denounces pauper imigration, and severely criticises the methods and administrations of both President Cleveland and Governor HUI.
