Begged For Mercy In Vain

Poet Washington, Wis., Sept. - Ernst Pfeifer was yesterday sentenced for life in State prison at Waupun for the murder oí Charles Tillapaugh. His wife and three children begged the oourt for mercy, but the Judge said that in a case of murder in the first degree there was no chance for leniency. The prisoner received his sentence with much emotion.
