A Mission Festival

Every year the Bethleham church holds a mission tesiival, at which time collections are taken up for the benefit of home and foreign missionary societies. Last Sunday, this aunual festival was held, and a very succesful one it waa. Services were held in the morning, afternoon and evening, two serraons btáog preached on each occasion. Tne opening serraon, in ihe morning, was deüvered by Rv. Mr. Haag, ot Lansing. The opening prayer was deüvered by J. Sianyer, a return d misíionary from Atrica. Other sermons were delivered by the pastor of the church, Rev. Mr. N-umann ; Rev. Mr. S ell, of Francisco, Jackson county; and Rev. Mr. Irion, of FYeedom. The oollections during the day amoumed to $165 57, abouc onehalf of which was raised in the afternoon. A curioU8 feature of the collection was the fact that it weighed just 14 pounds.
