A Very Sad Case

Robeit L. Popkins, 19 years old, the only child of Robert Popkins, of Ann Arbor, has for some months shown signs of mental derangement, and within the past few days has beuome violent so that his best friend8 no longer have any influence with him. About four years ago Mr. Popkins came to Ann Arbor from an adjoining township for the purpose of educating his son, and Robert is now a junior in the high school in the classical course. On Wednesday Judge Harriman committed him to the asylum at Pontiac where he will be taken to-day, and where he will undonbtedly be cured under skillful treatraent It is a pecuüarly sad case.
