Washington, Dea 8.- The annual report of the Chief of the Secret Service división ef the Traasury shows that there were 355 persons arrested by the offlcers of the service during the year for violatiou oí the laws against connterfeiúng, etc. Of this nnmber seventy were convictei Counterfeiters at present seemed to be devoting their attention almost exolusively to silver coin. Tha connterfeiting done durin ths past year amonnted praoticaliy to nothinff, the only attempte in that direction bcinga$10silver eert ficate, and these were sach poor lmitations as to be practically harmlesa.
