Oakland, LL, Jan. 9.- The rain has been falling here heavily and all the rivera and creeks are overflow, ng. The damage to bridges in this township alone wlll amount to thousands of dollars. Many of the public highway bridges have been swept away. Pittsburoh, l'a, Jan. 9. - Considerable damage has been caused by high water. The Youghoigheny river has overtlowed its banks at various points, floodin thousands of acres of the lowlands and washing away fences, outhouses and small bridges. So far no serious damage has been done. Lock Have.v, Fa., Jun. U. - Messages f rom the head of tje Susquehanna river state that the heavy rain f all of Baturda; caused the streams to overiiowt: eir banks. Booraa and danis have given away and millions of feet of timber and logs have broken loose. The loss to lumliernicn will be great.
