The February Wïde Awake has a notable Losa Bonheur paper by Henry Bacon, a personal friend of the artist. Arnong tbe many illustrations is a portrait by Mr. Bacon of Rosa Bonheur is studio dreis - the much-talked-of male attire. Content vs. Discontent. One, satisfied with what must be her lot- 'Twas not a corner lot,- serenely meant Nevet to wander from her humble cot, Made beautiful by wise aud Eweet conten. And one, dissallsfied with all he had, Roved from his place into the world's mad whirl. What dld he flnd ? Well, it was not so bad,- The fellow found that cottage and tbat glrl. A. W. K., in The Ccntwy. Next to his children, the most important members of an Eskimo's household are his dogs, they beiDg essential to his huDting n summer, and his traveling in winter. They are very wíld, wolflsh animáis, only half domesticated, and possessing marvelous digestive powers. A pup that Mr. Ashe was rearing, being le't to amuse himsel' in the houee one day, did so, very eflectually, by devouring stocking, gloves, the greater part of a top boot, and many smaller anieles of a similar nature, none of which, apparently, disagreed with him. - F.
