[These verses were composed by CarrleTrumbull, a miss of 15 years, in Jack&on. She is tbe daugbter of a lady, who will be reniembered by some in Ann Arbor, and whose maiden name was Miss Mary Kellogg.J I am guided by a Shepherd Tbat will all my wants eupply, Led by oue who slways Ioves me, Guided by His watchful eye. I am led, as children onward To the good and better land, And I have no fear or sorrow While I hold the Shepherd's hand. In green pastures I am taken, And beside the waters still Where the breezes and the sunshiue Come and go at His own will. Once I feit that I was sinful And my heart wiu weak and colil, He restore me to His favor And the blessings of Hls fold. I am led in pleasant pathways Where tüere comes no sin or strife, And I have that faithful promise Of an everlastiiig life. Thongh I walk in dreary valleys Where there's sorrow everywhere, I shall have no cause for fearing For I kuow my Shepherd's there. With hi staffhe'U lead me onward He is with me every day, I can hear His words ot comfort All along the lonely way. He'll prepare a table for me In the presence of my foes, 111 not listen to their scornings, For I thlnk my Shepherd knows That I love His tender mercy, Know His wisdom and Hislove, When I go to dweil forever In the manbiong up above.
