Washington, March 29.- The session of the International Oouncll oí Women yesterday was devoted to the general Bubject ot Industries. Hxa Low said that woman's inflnenco in the Knighta of Labor was betng íelt whereyer women of charactr had joined the order. Mr Leonora M. Barry, organizer of the Knlght of Labor, said they were building around the workinggtrls a wall to defend and protect them from the humiliations which heratofore they had been mibjected to, and were takinfr the little girls from the faotory, tho workshop and the mine, and educating them. Washinoton, March 30. - At the International Conncil of Women yesterday Mre. Ellzabeth Cady Stanton in her advooaoy of woman's suffrage said that if the rights of women were not to be obtained by just and fair means they wonld join hands with t.h Anarnhista. and the scènes of the Frenoh Hevolution would be re-enacted. Her reïnarks were not favorably received. The power of orfcanization, legal oondttion ol wonen, property rights and other eubjecta were discussed. BrlKgs, a well-known newspaper correspondent of this city, has presented to the International Counoil of Women the square of ground in Southeast Washington known as Maple square, looated between Sixth and Seventh streets and D street and South Carolina avenue, for the f onndation of an institutlon for the spiritual, moral, industrial and political education of young women.
