New Hampton, Ia, April 6. -One of tlie worst accidente that has ever happened on the Iowa and Dakota división of the Chicago, Mllwankee & St Paul road was that of Thursday morning about three miles west of this city. The westbound passenger train plunged over a bridge into the Wapsie river, swollen to a fearful torrent The entine, baggage car and smoker were piled together in the river where the water was ten feet deep, the two passenger cars followine. Five dead bodiea have been taken froin the wreek, and it is thought others have been lost. üvertwenty were injured, many of thetu severely.
